Botox is a popular cosmetic treatment that can help you achieve optimal facial shaping and reduced wrinkles. When it comes to full facial optimization, it’s important to understand the amount of Botox that is needed to achieve the desired results.

What is Full Facial Optimization?

This is a concept I have come up with where I can inject Botox and fillers in amounts of areas that are maximally beneficial for my patients.  I am not doing this to sell more product, and I am not doing this to create an overly smooth, frozen, artificial look that may look OK in a photo but looks very unnatural on video or if you move.

Full facial optimization allows me to place Botox in smaller, more delicate areas, that truly optimize your face, help you to look thinner, more natural and more rejuvenated. In my opinion, it is critical to place Botox into the mid and lower face to get the best results possible, reduce muscle overactivity along the jawline and chin, and helps to accentuate your cheekbones.

It also allows me to place Botox slightly asymmetrical, since your face is asymmetric. Full facial optimization allows me to target these muscles and be very precise in exactly how much and where I am placing Botox for the best new you.

Common  Areas

Some of the most common areas of the face that can be treated with Botox include the forehead, between the eyebrows (also known as the “frown lines” or “11s”), the wrinkles around the eyes (also known as “crow’s feet”), and the nasal muscles (which can cause “bunny lines” when you smile). By injecting small amounts of Botox into these areas, the muscle activity that causes wrinkles can be temporarily relaxed, resulting in a smoother, more youthful appearance.

Uncommon Areas

Small amounts of Botox around the eyes, jawline, masseter muscles, and around the lips can help you look thinner, as well as reduce wrinkles. This means that by injecting Botox into specific areas, you can effectively reshape your face, making it look thinner and more youthful. This really shows when you get your masseter muscles injected- the muscles that cause your jaw to clench.

Botox injected into the muscles above the upper lip will increase your upper lip fullness, injected under the jawline will also help look slimmer, injected into the strong neck muscles will cause you to look thinner and more youthful, and placement in the chin will cause it to smooth out and look more rejuvenated.

Baby Botox

“Baby Botox” is a phrase that accurately describes preventive Botox for younger patients and those who have more shallow wrinkles.  Even in these cases, I usually recommend at least 25 units – 30 units of Botox.  This is only 5 units in the forehead, 10 units in the glabella, and 10 -15 units in the bilateral crow’s feet.  The number of units is fairly small in the grand scheme of things, and will allow virtually all of my patients to look refreshed but not frozen or overdone.

Asymmetry of Your Face

Virtually all patients have slight asymmetry in their face. To optimize your overall look, you may need more units on one side of your face, or fewer units, depending on the shape of your face and the amount of muscle activity on the right versus left side of your face.  Everyone is different, and the ability to give slightly asymmetric units is one of the advantages of full facial optimization.

How Much Do You Really Need for Full Facial Optimization?

Small amounts of Botox around the eyes, jawline, masseter muscles, and around the lips can help you look thinner, as well as reduce wrinkles. However, to truly achieve full facial optimization, you will typically need 50-100 units of Botox! Yes, that sounds like a lot, but by the time you get some in the areas described, as well as the more common areas, it will add up.

If you are interested in full facial optimization with Botox, it’s important to find a qualified professional who can assess your individual needs and determine the right amount of Botox for you. This will help ensure that you get the best possible results and achieve the full facial optimization that you desire.

Botox is a powerful tool for full facial optimization, allowing you to achieve a thinner, more youthful appearance. By understanding the amount of Botox that is needed without looking over done, you will achieve an over look that is rejuvenated, natural, and better than counting each individual unit.

I offer 3 levels of Botox only full facial optimization – 50 units, 75 units, and 100 units – with bigger discounts at each level. Please call my office for pricing and to set up an appointment. A thinner, more beautiful face is waiting for you!
