There are 3 common types of breast lift, marked by their incision types and based on how much of a lift is required.
Benelli “Donut” Lift
The incision is just around the areola. This lift is best for patients who require a very minimal lift.
Lollipop Lift
The incision is around the areola and down to the breast fold. Best for patients requiring a moderate lift and reshaping.
Anchor Lift
The incision is around the areola, down to the breast fold, and along the breast fold. Best for patients requiring an extensive lift and reshaping.
⠀
Most commonly, patients receive a “lollipop” lift. However, for patients with significant breast sag, an anchor lift is the gold standard to lift and also reshape the breast.
⠀
For those patients with very mild sagging, a donut lift is a great option, and the scars are hidden within the areolar border. However, candidates for this procedure must be carefully selected as it can cause stretched out scars for the wrong candidate.
Many patients worry less about the scars and are just happy to have lifted, perky breasts! And with great scar therapy, they will fade into faint white lines 👍
